Week 6 DFS plays for Weekly Fantasy – Ryan Cearfoss

With the Bye weeks in full force the amount of available players isn’t nearly as much, the good part is although it’s limiting you it’s also limiting everyone else. Finding values are what will help you get into the money. So here are a few for the week ahead.

Quarterback

Josh McCown vs NE, Price $5200

The Patriots defense is absolutely terrible this season but they should still blow out the Jets. This negative game script plus their bad defense should lead to a great opportunity for McCown to have a big performance for barely anything.

Jacoby Brissett @Tenn, Price $5800

Since getting his feet under him in the Colts offense Brissett has outperformed expectations. His rushing ability gives him a nice floor and he has upside with big play threats like TY Hilton on the outside. A positive match up against the Titans should lead to another solid performance.

Honorable Mentions

Matthew Stafford @NO, Price $6500

Carson Palmer vs TB, Price $6100

Running Back

Mark Ingram vs DET, Price $4400

The departure of Adrian Peterson opens up the fantasy gates for Mark Ingram. The prior split on the early down work will mainly go to Ingram giving him the opportunity to be a low end RB1 on a week to week basis. This might be the cheapest we’ll see him.

Mike Gillislee @ NYJ Price $5500

The Patriots should blow out the Jets this week allowing for them to go to their grinder of a back in Gillisllee. The points may not come early in the game but should pile up , hopefully there will be some goal line touches added as well.

Honorable Mentions

Alex Collins vs CHI, Price $4400

Jerrick McKinnon vs GB, Price $4100

Wide Receivers

DeSean Jackson @AZ, Price $5800

While Patrick Peterson is the premier shutdown corner in the league he’ll be drawing Mike Evans. This leaves Justin Bethel to be abused by D-Jax. Bethel has given up big plays almost every game this season, this is not the week it changes.

Amari Cooper- vs LAC, Price $5000

I’ve been as down on Cooper as anyone, he’s dropped a ton of balls and just underperformed in general. On the flip side he’s still seen a bunch of targets and targets in the redzone. This could mean a break out performance is coming and at $5000 I’ll take that chance.

Honorable Mentions

Jamison Crowder vs SF, Price $4000

Marvin Jones @NO, Price $4600

Tight End

Zach Miller @ BAL, Price $3500

Ravens defense has been stingy all year. The best fantasy scorers against them have been the TE’s all season. This is a great opportunity for Miller who Trubisky felt very comfortable targeting last week.

AJ Derby vs NYG, Price $2700

Teams have been targeting the TE against the Giants all season even more so then the Ravens. AJ Derby could be a sneaky value play this week.

Honorable Mentions

Evan Engram @ DEN – $3900

George Kittle @WAS – $3400

Defense/Special Teams

Denver Broncos vs NYG- $4000

The Giants have no line, no receivers and Eli Manning, I have no problem paying up for Denver. They should limit the Giants offense to barely any points and get plenty of sacks and turnovers giving a great return on the investment.

Atlanta Falcons vs MIA- $3500

Jay Cutler has been atrocious this year even against bad defenses. This week he faces an aggressive Falcons defense who likes to create pressure and turnovers. This could be a match made in heaven.

Salary Savers

Keep an eye on the injury report for Washington, as of now Rob Kelley is doubtful meaning Samaje Perine has the chance to start. At $4400 he has an opportunity to get a lot of carries at that price.

Ricardo Lewis for Cleveland has been getting targeted fairly often especially with Kevin Hogan at QB and is only $3900. For the depleted Giants receiving corps Roger Lewis is the number one receiver by default of being the last man standing and is only $3800 even though he is in a tough matchup at the Mile High Stadium in Denver.
